It’s said that one doesn’t talk of politics or religion in polite company. Here at Impolite Company, there’s no such restriction.

This is a personal political blog. My words are my own and not anyone else’s, certainly not my employer’s. I have another blog where I discuss all other topics not political.

Comment Policy

I reserve the right to delete any comments not appropriate for my blog. Fortunately, I rarely get comment spam now. If I think your comment is spam, I’ll delete it. If your author link is not to a personal blog, I might delete the link. I won’t delete your comment just because you disagree with me, argue powerfully, and make me look stupid. If you stay on topic and use clean language, your comment will likely remain.

I reserve the right to edit your comment. If you use profanity, I might choose to edit out the offending words and replace them with cute, fluffy words. Or put in *st*r*sks. If your comment includes something that extends into the margins (e.g., code, long URL), I will likely edit your comment’s formatting. If your comment includes extensive quoting, I may edit out the quotes. I might find other reasons to edit your comments. I view editing as a way of preserving a comment rather than deleting it outright.

If you find an offensive comment on Impolite Company, please recognize I didn’t write it (unless I did) and probably don’t agree with it. Sometimes, not deleting the posts of those you disagree with is the best way to expose their (lack of) thinking.
