Chris and Sam discuss what phrase the CIA would use to activate their secret assassin skills, Snapchat, creepy kids, schoolyard fights, day jobs, death, life, love, and Sam tries his hand at a cold open.

Saturday morning, Chris woke up with a craving for French toast sticks. So clearly, the only solution was to call up Bare Knuckle Comedy writer, Jamie Krock and Susan Bennet of Ooh St. Lou Studios, pile in the car, and drive three hours to Henderson, Kentucky, the town that houses the Shoney’s nearest St. Louis.

Christine Compas joins Impolite Company’s host, Chris Cyr this morning. Christine is a comic, a story teller, and after last night, a leading author of fecaphilliac erotica. She discusses her strategy for an upcoming comedy contest, car accidents, crystals, and snack foods. Then she gives away the secrets to interviewing with professional recruiters. Spoiler alert: You can lie to them all you want.

Chris found a dirty diaper and a toaster pastry on top of a gas pump on his way home last night.

Impolite Company: Episode Ninety Two- 6/20/2018 – Christian Lawrence

Isaac Landfert, of An Evening With The Authors, calls in and talks about tonight’s show at The Heavy Anchor. Christian Lawrence is our guest for the rest of the hour. He and Chris discuss the perils of home ownership, an abandoned Shop ‘n Save, dogs stealing humans jobs, buying ammo from Home Depot, upselling, the Flaming Lips, and the word “proboscis,” which Chris keeps mispronouncing.

Chris was almost late this morning, because garbage trucks drive really slowly. So of course he has to complain about it.

Note: There’s was a small technical glitch at the beginning of the phone interview. All you missed was Chris saying “Hey Isaac! Tell me about your show!” There, mystery solved. Also, the technical glitch was Chris’s dog barking at some weird dude walking by the house when the interview was recorded. Okay. Fine. Was that honest enough?

Sam Lyons is today’s guest on Impolite Company. Sam co-runs the monthly showcase “Yours, Mine, and Ours” at gezellig in St. Louis. He and Chris talk about comedy contests, the Gilmore Girls/Boyz ‘n the Hood parallels, teenage drinking, and a bunch of other stuff. It’s a fun conversation.
