02042019 – The Lyons Den: Wood You Rather

5 years ago today, a young man got on a stage in Oxford, MS and tried stand-up comedy for the first time. That young man was Sam Lyons. On this, the wooden anniversary, Sam tells the story of how he was inspired to try comedy, and reflects a bit on where he’s taken him. He also provides the rundown of his 5 must-watch Nicholas Cage and Arnold Schwarzenegger movies, and at the end of the episode, you can hear his first set in entirety! The Patriots won the Super Bowl, and life will go on. Enjoy!

02012019 – Impolite Company: Saturday Mornings Were Better in the 80s

It’s been a year! Chris discusses personal and creative growth, and tells a few jokes he wrote in his first year of comedy. The new DCU shows are fun. Also, if you purposefully use the wrong pronoun to address a person, you’re an a-hole. That’s a pretty non-controversial opinion he pretends is a hot take.  Don’t be an a-hole.

It’s Impolite Company!

Impolite Company: Episode Eighty Five – 6/8/2018 – Dylan Palladino

Yale Hollander joins Chris Cyr at the Tick Tock Tavern where they sat down and had a drink with Dylan Palladino, comedian, actor, and host of Model and the Mensch.

Dylan once wore a $6,000 suit for a photo shoot in GQ Magazine. Chris once wore a $6 and took a selfie in front of a fountain. Samesies.

Thanks to Tick Tock for sponsoring these happy hour conversations.  Go patronize that bar if you live in, or are visiting, St. Louis.

Quick announcement: Beginning in July, the show will undergo a bit of a format change.  We’ll explain what to expect depending on the day of the week, but the biggest change is the incorporation of Yale’s show The Wind Down into our format.

Every Friday, Yale will have great discussions with local and visiting comics, discuss the weekend’s comedy calendar, and give you suggestions of where to see a show in the Arch City.  Chris will sleep late.
